DoSomething.org's e-Waste Campaign

e-Waste Campaign is a collection drive which runs in partnership with Best Buy and Energy Star from August 15 to October 1. This campaign is important due to the fact that Americans throw away 1.5 million tons of e-waste and most of it can be recycled! Through the e-Waste Drive campaign, young people are urged to start a drive in their own community to reverse these bad habits and recycle their used electronics. Drop off locations are at your local Besy Buy stores.

DoSomething.org also has prizes for this campaign. The top 10 drives that recycle the large amount of e-waste will be eligible to win Best Buy gift cards with the grand prize winning drive winning an educational grant.
